Loose forend

I have an early CE. The forend has about 1/8" lateral play at the tip. It's not loose or rattly, but it will move if you push the tip end. The gun still locks up tightly. Should i have any concern, and if so what are my options.

Frank, I have same problem to some degree on a 12ga. BE Did you find an answer? Maybe Silvers had the answer.

Larry, sorry for the late response, but I didn't see you post til tonight.

The forend latch has worn down or possibly been warped by a re-case hardening. A little duct tape inside the latch loop/hook tightened it up nicely (I did use black to match the metal :) ). I read on another forum the process of soldering a shim to the inside of the loop, but I'm not sure I trust my skills to attempt. Here's the link:
