Wonder where that places it on the list of "World's Most Expensive Shotguns"? I am not surprised with the amount it brought---and actually it will probably prove to be a "good buy" for whomever bought it.

Boy was I a "lo-ball" guesser- I figured about $450,000 before buyer's premium. Just for fun, anyone care to guess what a F (or FE) 12 like that made in 1909-1909, sans the engraving dedicating it to the last American President we had to posses "Grand Cojones de Laton"? would have brought at auction, in the same condition as the Teddy gun? Whomever bought this historic piece of skilled American gun crafstmanship has to be a huge admirer of Teddy (as am I, and countless others no doubt). I expect Mr. Julia is smiling all the way to the bank now.

A phone in bid- same person as phoned in the winning bid several years ago on the Czar Nicholas Parker?

more than I would have guessed!!

How about the 16CE?

Sounds like the 20 SUGG was a fair price to me... guess I should have bid...
Cheers!

Does Mr. Julia charge the buyer (besides the 15% premium- ouch) a fee for the BATF 4473 form and call in NICS check? I don't buy from auctions, but that fee is usually absorbed by the dealer selling the firearm- and if you have a current concealed carry permit, the NICS check is waived (usually)--
