Membership question

Post by ironman5 »

Is there no way of signing up online? Generally I'm old fashioned and would appreciate the "old school" approach to building membership. But printing off the form and mailing in a check seems a little outdated - even to someone that is not very technology friendly - like myself. Just seems like the membership roll might expand at a greater rate if the dues could be paid online or at least with a credit card. Thank you in advance for the response(s).

being a gun organisation, I would ask the board to not patronize PAYPAL. A company that is extrememly anti gun. They wont process payments for online gun and gun part auctions. Why pay the enemy.

Good point, but they are (almost) the only game in town. I sent the check the old fashioned way, so for me it is a moot point. But if growing the membership is a high priority - then a more convenient path should be looked into. Technology is too good to make this the only way to sign up.

Once a new members application and check arrives at Fox central, does the "Members Only" section appear or is there an email notification etc.?
Just curious as mine was sent a week ago and should be there by now or very soon.

It took a little over a week for mine, KL, a couple years ago. The officers here have to do these things in their spare time, as I understand it, so sometimes it takes a while. If it was a personal check it may have to clear the bank before membership is processed. It will be worth the wait. Glad you joined.
