Nice 20ga Sterlingworth. Barrel/forend does not match flats. Everything works fits great, tight. I think I can get it at a fair price.
What do you more experienced Fox people think?
Not really looking for a collector. I want a nice shooter. Will do some restoration (colors, blueing, etc.).
I'd just like a good solid American shotgun for the field.
Your opinions would be appreciated.

Re: Non-matching numbers
I think that is really what it is. None matching pieces turns everything into a shooter. There was a pin gun for sale on GB the other day with miss matched Forearm, but the barrel's and receiver s/n matched. As I recall it went for a bit over $400. Rest of the gun seemed ok (although from the lousy pictures I thought the receiver had been blued). So my 2 cents is if everything else is on good shape you might have up to a $900 shooter. PS. I could be far off, I guess it truly depends on how the rest of the gun looks. Might make a great platform for a custom Fox down the road, but mismatched is mismatched.

Bill's a hard man, but he knows his stuff. Perfect Barrel's I'd give you just a tad more just so I could take them off the 20 and turn my 16 gauge SW into a two barrel set.
