Russell Fore end and iron

Post by marine.802 »

I have been restoring a 12 ga Brush Model, non-ejector Sterlingworth That is missing the forend and iron. I would like to know if the fore ends that used the F.T. Russell method to attach were of the splinter or beaver style. Is there any reliable source of the iron needed for this style, or does anybody know of any for sale? Are there any drawings with the neede edimensions for the iron in existence? I thought if it were I might be able to have it made for me. Any information concerning the F.T. Russell style of forend would be greatly appreciated. I already have a copy of U.S. Patent # 1,029,229 that deas with this design and a copy of MM's book.
