Philadelphia Arms Co. was only in business from late 1902 to late 1906 and didn't begin delivering guns until the summer of 1904. The latest PAC advertising I've found in old sporting magazines was July 1905. In the fall of 1906 PAC was bought out by the A.H. Fox Gun Co. While I've had reports of higher serial number PAC guns, the highest I've seen is 1845.

Most I've examined have a grade letter and the serial number stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug, as well as on the watertable. The basic A-Grade had just some zig-zag border engraving. Here is the link to our PAC page -- http://www.foxcollectors.com/philadelphia%20arms.htm
