Post by abner »

Has anyone had any luck getting a Fox factory letter on a "The Sterlingworth Co." pin gun for the 5230X serial range? Thanks

Hello SWSXS: Welcome to Fox Collectors, let me know when you get your letter. If they have the first 1000 "The Sterlingworth Company" factory cards, there is a good chance they will 5230X. Thanks

The cards for the very earliest The Sterlingworth Co. guns seem to be available. Got a letter years ago on mine in the 504xx range, shipped in March 1910 to Marshall-Wells Hardware Co. in Duluth.

STERLINGWORTH PIN GUNS

Post by George Lander »

I have SN 51181 & 52689, both 12 gauge, and I 'm going to send for letters. What is the highest known SN for a pin gun?

Best Regards, George

The highest serial number Sterlingworth "pin-gun" I've recorded is in the 622xx range. McI reported one a bit higher then I've recorded, but still in that range. I've found smooth dressed hinge pins beginning in the high 61xxx range. I'm on the road and don't have my tables of observed Sterlingworths in this laptop, so can't give the exact serial numbers.
