It is a Philly Sterlingworth in really nice condition. 28" barrels that are choked mod and full. The gun fit me well and was very light. I weighed it at 6 pounds and 15 ounces on my scale when I got home. I don't know if you can really tell from the pics, but it has some of the darkest case colors I've ever seen. It also has a Hawkins pad and some pretty good wood grain for a Sterlingworth. I am happy to add it, since I don't have a 12 gauge Sterly. May even have to take it on the dove opener Monday.
New Sterly
New Sterly
The gentleman I bought my Super from called me and said he had a few more guns he wanted to sell if I was interested. Much to the chagrin of my wife, I had to go back over there
. He had a few Smiths, and I found a couple Foxes. All were 12 gauges. One was a late model Sterlingworth with the Utica forearm that I didn't care for. Two others were early A grades. One was in pretty rough shape. I really liked the other one, but I then realized the barrels had been cut. I rummaged around and then found one more, and I had to have it.

Congratulations! At 6 lbs. 15 oz . It should be a pleasure to carry. I look forward to seeing pictures of your new Sterlingworth with harvested game. Happy hunting!
