A.H. Fox at the Rock

Post by DarylC »

Along with the Fox/Parker challenge we will once again be offering the Fox bigbore/smallbore challenge for your shooting enjoyment. To qualify all you have to do is shoot any 50 bird event and mark your scorecard accordingly. No shoot-offs for tied scores. Winners will be determined by long run from the rear. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

My first time at the Rock, need clarification. How do I qualify for the Fox Parker Challenge? Is this different from the Big Bore/Small Bore Challenge?

Do you have to shoot the same gun to qualify?

Regards,

Welcome Mike. I look forward to meeting you. I'm sure you'll have a grand time rubbing elbows with other Foxers and shooting the courses.

On the Fox-Parker Challenge I’m copying this from Daryl’s post a few down from this thread. Daryl is on the road right now coming up a day early to shoot with a few of us.

> The annual Fox-Parker Challenge will start the shoot-offs at 3:00, Saturday afternoon. To qualify you must shoot one or more 12, 20 or 16g 50 bird trophy rounds and mark your score card for Fox or Parker. Your high score will be your qualifier. Top five shooters will qualify. The scores shot by both teams will be used for the Manufacturer’s Cup scores too for Fox and Parker.

On the Big Bore/Small Bore Challenge it’s not a competition between 12 and smaller gauges. I’m fairly sure you just mark your scorecard “Fox” for any of the various 50 bird gauge specific events and highest score gets the 12g and smallbore awards, respectively.

The first day of the Rock Mountain shoot couldn’t have been any better. Absolutely beautiful weather.

No thanks Tom. Don't like the sun on my skin.

Yea, I don't hardly ever wear shorts and if I do its inside. Too much sun when younger and paid the price.
