Spring Handicapped Sub-Gauge Shoot at The Rock

Post by Mike of the Mountain »

As usual, we are hosting our annual Spring Handicapped Sub-Gauge event on Sunday, June 9, the day after Ernie's shoot. Guys are in town and hang around to shoot this event so here it is. 100 bird shoot on the Main Course. If you shoot a 12g or larger O/U or semi, your score stands. If you shoot a SxS you get 5 birds, a pump gets 5 birds, a hammer gun gets 5 birds, a 16g gets 3, a 20g gets 5, a 28 gets 10 and a .410 gets 15. Handicaps are cumulative so a .410 pump gets 20, a 16g hammer gun gets 13, a 20g semi gets 5, a 12g hammer gets 10.... You get it? I know some Central PA trap shooters can't understand it, but we sporting shooters grasp the concept.

HOA shooter gets a custom blue stone trophy. Cost is $35 for RMSC members and $45 for non-members. See y'all soon.

Man, that is a great format. I've shot that same deal at Bray's Island. Wish I could be there so much. I'd be all over a .410 S X S, getting me that 20 handicap!

Have fun friends.
