A few big ducks are showing up

Post by fox-admin »

The woodies and teal have left but a few big ducks are here. Still slow but did manage a black and widgeon today. Shot the DE again, it's getting lots of time in the marsh this year.

Jealous of these duck hunts as I’m eagerly waiting for our season to open! Great photos and good shooting! It is nice to see such a nice gun being used as well as too often they are only locked away.

All my guns get shot, a few I don't hunt. I do have a 12ga Sterly that I use on hard rain days. I always use a floating gun case. The DE has made some nice memories this year and will get a rest soon. Next up my Super straight gripper 32" 3". :D

Nice pictures Craig. Tuesday evening I saw a flock of 15 woodies, but they didn’t come in. Wednesday night, nothing. I needed the mallards to show up!

The Trumpeter swans arrived in our part of the state about a week ago. Not a bird you can shoot. The local golf coarse is getting lots of geese. I enjoy pheasants this time of year but there doesn’t seem to be many of those. My dog Molly is having fun chasing the few that are here.
