Sterlingworth Barrel Rib Question

Post by firemanstevec34 »

Not sure if this is in the right forum or not but did the Philadelphia Sterlingworths use any different style rib other than the concave or swamped rib style? I have a 12g and a 16g Sterlingworth and they both have this style rib. I'm looking for a 20g and just curious if the 20g will have same rib style. My Ithaca NID Grade 1 20g has a flat rib and just wondered if Fox ever used a flat rib. Thank you.

A very few graded gun production cards request a flat rib. I can't imagine such a special-order feature on a standardized, made-for-stock gun as the Sterlingworth.

The Savage SP-/SPE-Grade guns had a flat rib.

What about the Deluxe with the mid bead? Are they also swamped ribs?

Same rib. Just mid bead added.
