20 gauge shells

Post by lewabbie »

The Fox Sterlingworth 20 gauge shotgun I just purchase has chambers 2-1/4 inches I measured it with my brownells chamber gauges. Any idea where I can buy 2-1/4 shells for it.
I am well aware of 3 inch, 2-3/4 and 2-3/4 shells. I was expecting the chambers to be 2-1/2 and not 2-1/4. Was the 2-1/4 standard for the 20 gauge back then .
Thanks

Two replies to your first post, both dated August 1 and you haven’t acknowledged the time and effort by the respondents. Now you’re asking another question. Hopefully you’ll get some others to step up this time. frank

Sorry Frank, I have been out of town. I will check and see who I did not respond to.
