Some pics taken today while test shooting Jeff's J Grade SBT gun on the Rock Mountain sporting course. A 32" straight gripper. Choke 4-3/4" long X 42 points of constriction. As one of my buds commented ..... "smoke city".

Yes they do Tom. Jeff and I have a short iPhone video of one disappearing into a diesel smoke ball but there doesn't seem to be a way to directly post it.

Thanks for the nice comments regarding my new "J". It's a beautiful gun with nice, sleek lines. Frank was nice enough to look it over, and did a little tuning. I can't wait to try it out at Hausmann's and I sure hope I break a few. See you there .

No safety and no provision for a safety as may be seen in pic 4. Fox SBT guns were designed with an ejector similar in design and function to Fox 12 gauge S x S’s and some of the parts look the same at first glance but are different. The ejector on Jeff’s gun throws plastic and paper hulls 6-8 feet. Though most shooters will eject hulls into the hand.

Well, that’s a good question. Sometimes gun enthusiasts store their guns “broken down” such as in a wooden case or in a leg o’ mutton case. When stored “broken down” the level remains to the right, which in turn keeps a nice old spring “compressed”. I believe pushing that button returns the lever to center, and relaxes the spring. Seems like a good idea. I have seen people return the lever to center on SxS’s, but it involves using a car key. If you visit Hausmann’s, Toolman’s sidekick, Jim can show you how to do it.
