looking for Fox 12g barrels

Post by craig hartman »

Fox Collectors,

I have a Fox BE 12g with 32 inch barrels choked F/F. Rather than open those chokes, I would prefer to buy a Fox extra set 30 or 32 inch, and have them fitted to the BE. The used set should be able to make the fixed chokes to 0.005-10 (R), and 0.015-20 (L), or put in screw-ins.

Also, if I find Sterlingworth barrels in this configuration, should it be possible to change (new welding?) the hook configuration from Sterlingworth spring loaded latch to the graded Fox latch style?

Thanks, Craig

The method I have seen used on a graded Parker with extra barrels with Trojan style spring latch is to use the forend from the Trojan which simplifies the metal work and mystifies those who inspect the gun. You may be able to use the same system on a Fox. However, you do have to locate ejector barrels to make the conversion easier.
