The A.H. Fox Gun Company was originally incorporated in New Jersey on April 6, 1905. Having just purchased and moved into the barely four year old factory of the defunct Philadelphia Arms Co. in late 1906, and now facing the financial crash of 1907, brought on by the Heinz brothers ill fated attempt to corner copper, Ansley must have felt the need to reincorporate to raise some funds.
