How many times on this site has somebody posted serious dangerous damage to a Fox shotgun of this vintage due to using modern light ammo like Game Loads?

Well, you've been a member for 12 year and I've only been a member for 5 years so, respectfully, you have seen and heard a lot more than me. I can not think of a time when there has been serious damage that was 100% the result of low brass modern ammo. For me, it falls under the category of "better safe than sorry". Of course I always shot modern shells before anyone told me about RST so there is a chance that it doesn't matter. If I use RST shells I sleep a little better, and I sincerely doubt that they have reduced my score on the clays course.

I fully agree on low pressure on the range because you shoot considerably more ammo then hunting. I hunt doves once a year and it would be a great day if I shot more than a box of shells due to the patchy population in our area so I am perfectly comfortable with shooting my 1912 A 12ga and my 1923 16ga using light factory loads. However, I understand why it is best to advise on the safe side.
