Hi Brian:
I guess Simpsons deleted the ad since the gun is sold. The pictures weren't much to look at though.
I saved the file. Here is the description from Simpson's advertisement:
"12 Gauge; 95% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 26'' barrel, XE grade introduced in 1915, this example manufactured in 1916. Original blue finish barrels, casehardened frame, mounted in circassain (SP) fine checkered walnut. 2 3/4 inch chambers with Modified and Improved Cylinder chokes, it is possible the barrels have been altered to length. Boxlock with ejectors, double triggers, Deeley latch forearm release, original ebony tip on forearm, semi-grip round knob grip stock with skeleton steel buttplate, checkered wood butt, LOP=14.25 inches, single white bead front sight. Fully leaf pattern engraved frame with oval game scene on each side engraved "Ansley H. Fox". Barrel chambers with scroll leaf engraving, the right barrel is marked on top "KRUPP FLUID STEEL MADE BY" and the left barrel is marked on top "A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA.". Matching serial numbers. Mechanically fine with clean bores and tight lockup. C&R/FFL, s/n 235xx"
Thanks again for all the kind words.
Craig I told my shooting student, Joe Wood, that he is going to have to start carrying at least an AH grade Parker to be worthy of hunting behind my dogs. I do think this little Fox XE is worthy of them.

I am going to a field trial in Flagstaff over the 4th of July weekend. I am going to carry the Fox in that trial. Kind of like having a date with Jennifer Lopez and taking her to McDonalds.
Toolman I am going to Montana in September. I am wishing Summer away with all my might.
vaturkey I will have several pictures of the stock and checkering in the newsletter article.
Thanks again everybody.
