Very nice gun indeed, Brett! And I totally agree with you and Frank regarding the appreciation value of this one. It should be used and enjoyed rather than tucked away as an investment. Let’s face it, the value in an upgrade is generally only to the original owner. With that said, this gun is a little different in my opinion based on the craftsmen who built it. Jim DeMunck certainly needs no introduction to anyone in the S/S world, but there’s a good chance many do not know Walter Koulach and his value to the gunsmithing world. He is among 3-5 men in the states that built stocks from a blank in the old world method. I’ll guarantee the inside of this stock has no filler or glass and all the mating surfaces are dead nuts perfect. From my observations of many stock makers today, his work is certainly in the minority.
