Sterlingwoth designation
In the most recent issue of Gray's there's a story in which the author recalls the first time he saw a shotgun, "a 20-gauge Fox Sterlingworth Supreme", c. 1936. That's a new one to me; was there ever such a designation? Perhaps he meant "deluxe"? It's a minor point, I guess, but I tend to be kinda anal about such things.

I have all the Savage-era retail catalogues and price lists, and all but one year wholesale price lists and a few Jobber price lists and I've never seen the term "supreme" used in context with a Fox-Sterlingworth. The catalogues did use the phrase on the title page "A.H. Fox Guns The Supreme Achievement in Shotgun Building."
