Missouri Valley show
Hey fellow Fox men, is anybody coming to the Missouri Valley Arms collectors show July 24,25,26th I think it is, or do you all live East of the "Big Muddy"? I have been looking at all the threads on the neat vintagers shoots back East and all the terrific guns you all come up withand get a little envious. I don't know of any shoots in the Kansas City area but there just may be. If anybody knows of something coming up in Kansas or Eastern Missouri I would like to hear of it. The MVAC show usually has a good selection of high grade doubles but I don't see any Foxes much. On the other hand all my Foxes are A grades, I drive a Chevy pickup and a Honda, sold my Mercedes to buy a Purdey and have a bank account flatter than a communion wafer so I probably wouldn't fit with the "Big Boys" back East anyway. We are so sophisticated out here our local golf tournament is called "the bare a-- open" Cheers! Lee.

This was posted on the L.C. Smith site on 17 June.
The SXS/Pump Gun Fun Shoot at St. Louis Skeet & Trap has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 11. National Weather Service predicts the Meramec River will hit moderate flood stage this weekend. We have removed traps from our lower sporting clays course in anticipation of high water....will plant rice. See you on July 11.
The northeast is definately the area for old doubles, and perhaps California with its many fine old duck clubs in the central valley. Here in the Spokane area doubles are few and far between. However, I did wander into the local gun show a couple of years ago and snagged this straight gripped, C-Grade, steel barrel, Baltimore Arms Co. gun --

Missouri is the home of one of the finest collections of Parker Bros. guns and a past president of the PGCA. And, there use to be a mighty fine accumulation of Ansley H. Fox guns in Cape, but they have mostly migrated back to the northeast!

I know Bruce Day as I also am on the Parker Forum also. Dang, it's hard to be in love with two at the same time. I also knew Don Schrum in Cape and I think someone in Florida got most of his collection when he passed. I did get my 20 ga. AE from Crosnoe at Cape, but I doubt if it was a local gun. He does have a 12 ga AE on his site now and will be at K.C. I know. Oh well, thanks for the input. Lee.

Thanks Resercher! Out here I have several acres of "vaca caca" and although i'm not inclined to throw it at anybody, I will try to keep the newbys from stepping in it unless they are overbearing know it alls. If you would be kind enough to share your comments on a PM I will appreciate it just so I don't step in a big one inadvertantly. There are some slick ones all over, and if we can help each other be aware of them they will eventually eat themselves up, I hope! Thanks. Lee.
