Super Fox

Post by Randy G Roberts »

A nice Super circa 1924. 32", trap comb, etched triggers, 15" LOP, Silvers pad with the leather face added later would be my guess, 1 1/2" X 2 3/4" drops, choked .048/.046., 9.2 lbs. This is a 3rd generation family Fox that letters as it is presently. I had mentioned to Craig while at the Rock that I had an itch for a Super who made me aware when this one popped up, itch scratched. Thank You !!

Congratulations. There's nothing else that can satisfactorily scratch the Super Fox itch, and especially the 32" barreled one. It it a 3" chambered gun?

As I said before on another thread somewhere, "I don't know what it would take to buy mine."

Like Stan said, nice CC and a very nice super. Craig can find them for sure.

How common would the "checked triggers" and "trap comb" be on this model?

Randy: The SF looks really nice. Trap combs are known on Supers, I can't ever recall checkered triggers on a SF. Craig

Very nice. Mine look like they've been fished out of Reelfoot Lake a few times compared to yours.

Congratulations Randy. Nice wood, beautiful case colors and crisp engraving. It will look great in a duck blind.

Thanks Stegge. The colors are nice, the photos are not enhanced to bring anything out. I just snapped a few pics with my cell phone. Fortunate to have acquired such a nice gun, probably shoot a few orange targets this weekend for a test run.

Randy, there are more Foxes with leather faced pads than about all other brands combined. Your leather covered pad is probably factory original.

I did not know that but then again there is a lot I do not know about the Fox guns. Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
