Bill, I believe the trap was 60 yards away. I believe landing spot was about 65 yards away. Target was a long crossed that was dropping. I could be a few yards off.

Re: 2025 BoWhoop station results
For the baby event I led the B bird with what appeared to me to be 3-4’ ahead and 4-5’ below and shooting it about halfway to the ground from its peak and initial decent. I hit it 3/4 times the for score round and then 2/4 in an additional practice round using a different gun. I was using 7/8oz #7.5 both times.
When I shot the Bo I was using 1 1/8oz #7.5 and of 5 rounds and 20 shots, I hit it 3 times. I tried to translate the lead/sight picture from the baby and shoot 3-4’ ahead and 6-7’ below but I think that extra 20+yd distance from the baby station put the target just far enough away that it was very difficult to gauge the correct lead and any small error was greatly magnified by the distance. The times I hit it looked no different than the times I missed it. It was a tough shot to gauge the lead.
I would vote for the same A & B type targets next year. IMO the C bird could be made a little more difficult.

Tom was correct on the distances. It was a breakable target only everyone was shooting over it especially at the BoWhoop stand which sat at the top of that field. The B target lost speed quickly and began to drop which required a compound lead. I was surprised more people didn't break it from the closer BabyWhoop station. Seems like you Ron were the only one to figure it out. And you would be surprised how many people missed the incoming C target from both shooting stations. Got to have one gimmee target which is so easy it's easy to miss.

Daryl, you saw more than I did on the C bird. I know what you mean on the B/C and A/C shot, I kept thinking “you better not
miss this C bird” to the point of twice over analyzing.
Anyway, I always appreciate freebies and it can stay.

The B target was a fast riser that if you shot quickly was probably a 10’ lead ahead and 2-3’ above trajectory. It quickly reached its apex and as Daryl noted started to slow horizontal speed and increase vertical drop speed. To me the baby shoot wasn't difficult to judge the H/V lead but that extra 20yrs for Bo was a game changer.

Correct. I stood in the field as clays passed over my head. Range finder said 60 yards to the shooting station.

The C bird Ron, wasn't just a straight incomer. It had a slight curl to it once it reached it's apex so a lot of shooters shot over and behind it. And yeah, "you better not miss this bird" is exactly the thought that should go through your mind. What fun would it be if 10's were being posted back to back? My goal was to set up one easy bird (C), one bird that was breakable 75% of the time if you kept your barrels moving (A), and the B bird which was the Achilles Heel for most shooters. I really expected more 8's, 9's and even a 10 on the BabyWhoop. Great fun regardless. Thanks to all for playing.Maggiemollie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 8:36 pm Daryl, you saw more than I did on the C bird. I know what you mean on the B/C and A/C shot, I kept thinking “you better not
