Completed and ready for the Southern
Bought this last year. Early Savage AE 20 gauge with 30" barrels. Choked .030 and .030. Bought known it had a "Bubba made" replacement buttstock. I sent it to my stock maker and after receiving it he called me and said the forearm was in great shape. He said the forearm was black walnut and he has a decent stick of black walnut that he could use and would stain it to match the forearm. I agree and off he went.
Arrived last week and it currently weighs 6 lb4 oz. It will be in my hands at the Southern next week. Factory 2 3/4" chambers.

Thanks Jeff. He did a nice job. Not gonna touch the chokes on this one.

Thanks Henry. Have seen a few factory A grades with similar wood, but most are certainly a bit more plain. With a restock costing what they cost adding a bit more sizzle isn't a bad thing. He charged me 300 for the blank which was a fair price in my mind. You will see the gun next week.

That sure is a beauty Tom, the butt stock came out great. And with those tight chokes I bet she can really reach out. Would be a good choice for the baby BoWhoop at Ernie's. Hope you bring her to that so I can get a look.

Tom, great looking gun with great barrel length and choking. Can’t wait to see it in person. Thanks for sharing pics!

Turned out nice Tom. Thanks for leaving the chokes as they were intended. Can you see the barrel weight stamps?

Cannot see barrel markings. They weight exactly 3 lbs, so I suspect 3's.

Re: Completed and ready for the Southern
Tom, very nice work and a good looking Fox. I won't be at the Southern and hope to see her at the Northeast SxS in June. Love to see crappy Fox work corrected and made ready for new adventures.
