2025 Southern Side X Side Championship and Exhibition
The 2025 Southern Side X Side Championship & Exhibition is scheduled for April 24th - 27th at Deep River Sporting Clays, Sanford, NC. Looking forward to seeing many of you and enjoying some pleasant weather!
Jeff and crew have plans for a great booth. The booth is a great place to connect with other Fox fans and show off that special gun or see some other great guns and just have fun!
Sunshine here we come!

Re: 2025 Southern Side X Side Championship and Exhibition
Stay tuned for a proposed Fox shooting event suggested by Craig L. I've been trying to get Fox shooters together for a round or two of clays at Drake Landing in the past to no avail so hopefully we can pull this one off at Deep River.

I was told that Steggie’s choice for the Bowhoop trophy is ready

Re: 2025 Southern Side X Side Championship and Exhibition
Ha Ha Ha! That’s a mighty big sausage.
Craig, I would like to display Fox guns, along with pictures of the game that they have harvested.
I really like collecting and breaking clays with vintage firearms. However, more importantly, I like to hunt with them, and I think many members feel the same.
It is my intent to display two 12 ga. XE’s, an HE, a J grade SBT, a 16 ga. A grade, and a 20 ga Sterlingworth. (Maybe a 12 ga. A grade too). If any members would like to display their prized Fox, that would be great, but I would sincerely ask that they provide photographic evidence of harvested game.
We all enjoy drooling over “minty” firearms, but ultimately these fine guns were designed to harvest game and I want to pay tribute to the guys that still hunt with them. If you or anyone else would like to add a gun to the table, let me know. Just bring a picture and be prepared to tell a “ hunting yarn” about your shooting prowess with your Fox.
I’ve heard many times that the best part of these events is the camaraderie. Well, bring your favorite “shooter” to the Fox Booth and be prepared to tell a hunting story. I’ll bring the chairs. Let’s have fun.

Jeff,
I will bring the meat and the pot 20 gauge Sterly upgrade to and AE grade. I'll see if I can print out a picture or two of things the old girl has taken down. I post about it all the time, might as well show up with it.

I'll try to print some pics off my computer of Fox/game. It's a shame we didn't get a picture of that widgeon and the 20ga Sterly on that memorable day in SD. I'm sure you remember that one.

Oh, I think I have a picture. How high was that widgeon? 20 yards?

No, actually closer to 200 than 20. But who's counting?

I carried a ten gauge AYA shooting 1 3/4 ounces of steel #2 and BB for several years. I should apologize for some of the shots I took with that gun. However, I would rather brag than apologize.

The aforementioned widgeon was surgically removed from the sky with 7/8oz, 7.5's out of a full choked 20ga. Sterlingworth. Who needs a 10?
