Re: Annie at trainer
She's home. Trying to get readjusted to Sophie and a pile of cats. She learned a lot. She's not exactly finished in the least, but she is much closer. PS. Pic of her on point with the trainer this morning. We were out for 20 minutes max. Temps were 82 degrees at 9 am with high humidity. After her workout she hit the pool and cooled off and we started the 2.5 hour drive home.

She's looking good, Tom. I hope you take out your new 20 ga. with Annie this Fall.

Thanks Jeff. That little 20 gauge Grouse/Woodcock gun should be headed up to John Hosford next week to have the roll stamps put on the barrel. Then Rust Blueing and down my way. I would expect I will have it by no later then Sept.
Cabin is booked for the 3rd week in Oct up in the thumb area of Michigan. Hoping the doodles will be there in mass.

I have shot that gun a number of times on 5 stand since the Southern. Shot it well. That said, its more of a bird gun then a clays gun imo. I like a pistol grip for clays.Jeff S wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 7:36 amThat’s good, but I was thinking of your new one from the Southern.vaturkey wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 5:48 amThanks Jeff. Tom ,
Annie is looking great! I’m sure you’ll have a great Fall with her and Sophie. I heard the bird populations in MI are going to be miserable this year. Might as well just head to WI!!!

I know one thing, you folks are getting a lotta rain at the wrong time for poults to make it. PS. We are bone dry in the south. Looks like August already.

Re: Annie at trainer
Pic her up next Wednesday. Sadly my trip to Michigan won't happen. My hunting buddies wife has had some health issues just surfaced and we had to cancel. My plans are to start hunting PA in Mid October once the Woodcock season opens.

Re: Annie at trainer
Sorry to hear about your buddy’s wife. I’m sure you’ll do well in your area, but the trip is half the fun.
