Back by popular demand the 2024 Fox field gun challenge

The Fox Field Gun Challenge is back on!! As the title suggests we will moving this event to Evil Mike's shoot in July. This is a field gun event so of course it will be shot low gun. It can be shot Thursday, Friday all day and Saturday until noon. To qualify your gun must weigh 6 lb 13 oz or less and can be from any manufacturer. A heavier gun can shoot but will not qualify for the $$. The event will payout 50-30-20, all ties split to satisfy 3 places. This payout will be done for every 10 shooters so there will be multiple payouts over the weekend. Cost will be $35 with $10 going into the payout pot. Total targets is 25 shot on the 5-Stand. Enter as many times as you like. Gun weights will be verified in the clubhouse. Stay tuned for any updates or changes to the event as I, Mike or Pres. Trump will do it just because we can. Nice Daryl, a very good move. Personally I'd like to see it on a Make a Break setup, adaptation of the 5 Stand and less thinking about multiple targets in each of the position menus. Shooter's choice on which targets to call. frank

Not enough double-gunners are up to speed on a “Make-It-Break” but they all know 5-Stand. I have some Ginko Biloba you can take to remember where the targets are on the 5-Stand!

Ginkgo Biloba huh? Well Mike my friend, I'd guess you'd know if that works ..... a little birdie told me you keep a stash on hand for shoots when you're after the Bling. Me, I can think of some other good stuff to help with memory and focus.

Seriously I don't think you're giving double guns guys and gals enough credit for being able to learn the simple and fun Make a Break concept. What, like a 3 minute explanation? Besides, 5-stand is so ordinary and routine, and a small change in format can make this Field Gun Challenge at the Northern SxS into something special. And even without moving any traps. Please give it some thought. frank
