2024 Northern SxS Challenge at Rock Mountain

Here's the final addition to the registration form. As you can see the Fox Field Gun Challenge and the Grouse Walk are not on the form. They can be entered as many times as you like. The Grouse Walk is a trophy event and the Fox FGC is a $$ prize event. The Fox FGC will run minimum of 2 1/2 days and will pay back $100 for every 10 shooters, 50-30-20 split to satisfy 3 places. If there's enough interest we'll run it Sunday too.

Here's a change we are putting in place for the Main Events. As the registration form shows, when you enter a single Main Event the cost is $85. We will be giving a discounted rate to shoot both Main Events as trophy rounds for $150. You're welcome.

Just a reminder that the Northern SxS is coming up in about 2 weeks (July 25-28) at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays in northeast PA. The Rock is a premier sporting clays club with something like 30 stations with 3 traps each that are spread over its large property. Layout of the courses and targets are the best you'll see anywhere - challenging and fair, no eye tests nor poke and hopes. The annual event has become a hub for double-gun enthusiasts and many shooters travel mucho miles to participate and rub elbows with fellow double gunners and to visit with vendors. Fortunately I live fairly close by but having travelled almost 600 miles many times in the past to the Southern SxS in NC, I would do the same if I lived within 10-12 hours or so of the Rock. Just sayin. frank

600+ miles for me Frank but I'm gonna make the trek, again. I have attended most all of the well known SxS shoots and I agree that Mike has the best targets.
I would encourage anyone who has never been there to give it a go, I doubt you will regret it.
On another note Frank did Gins rebuild and reopen?

Yes Randy, safe travels to you and all. Gin’s is close to reopening but the latest update puts it at mid to end of August, too late for the Northern SxS. Permits and long delivery restaurant equipment accounted for ongoing delays. The new facility will be much larger and with increased parking. Same owners, good people. frank
