This ad appeared for the "New Fox Trap Gun"
Was a "Trap Gun" double offered in Fox catalogs?

In the big 1913 "A Fox Gets the Game" catalog the A.H. Fox Gun Co. pictured a "Special Trap Gun" on page 16 --

By the big 1914 "A Fox Gets the Game" the same cut with the cheekpiece removed was used for the XE-Grade --

That same cut was used for the XE-Grade through the last A.H. Fox Gun Co.

The straight grip cut with the banded checkering was used in several magazine ads during 1914.

Has anyone ever seen the “banded” checkering pattern on a gun? I don’t recall ever seeing that pattern. Thanx
