How does having the words Phil PA on it make it a Fox call?

sr year high school, one buddy showed up with new electronic game call consisting of cassette tape player and p/a horn speaker. about half a dozen of us could not wait to try this modern technology and arranged to meet up that night at a chicken farm just out of town.our quarry would be any varmint that would kill chickens and in the past we had hit and miss luck killing a fox or coon. we met up and there was a chain and pad lock on the gate that had never been there before.we packed in from the road making sure everyone brought extra ammo for all the game we expected to draw in with this high tech dying rabbit predator call.we set up in two blinds and ran the speaker as far out in the pasture as the wire would reach and pointed it at the woods.everyone ready, guns loaded and spotlights at the ready the command to start the call was given. scratchy static crackled from the speaker into the night then....... HELLO DARLING ....... nice to see you ........ in conways olive oil voice. good times

On one horizontal pic I can barely see the A H Fox above the Phila, PA but it's not a good pic.

Thanks Stan; I missed it. You'd have thought the seller would have wanted that to be more plainly seen.

Being a novice call collector I picked up on it fairly quickly after it was posted.

My take is it is legit, however, a lower quality almost "Novelty" type manufacture.

Certainly not of any appeal to Call Collectors, now of course at over $250 we have answered the appeal to Fox Collectors' question.

Good luck gentlemen and may the best man win!! Lol

I guess my question would be: was it really a "Fox" call, or just somebody capitalizing on the name and putting it on the product? Need some real Fox collectors to verify it.

I'm afraid not Kevin, my son and I recently had the privilege to, as the Owner would say "Handle" one of Mr. Hooker finest creations.

I'm afraid I may have been mistaken in my original assumption.

I felt that the shape seemed awful familiar!

I don't believe Fox was still in business when Dud won his two International Championships.

Hope if anyone of the fold has won this auction they can validate with the seller what is authentic.

Will: I'm partial to your home state calls, Reelfoot Lake style.
