Baltimore Show This Weekend March 21-22

Post by eightbore »

Y'all come. I will be at tables B-4 and B-5 as always. I will buy a hot Fox at the show just to prove that they are there. Remember, park in the commuter lot across the tracks from the Fairgrounds on Greenspring Drive to avoid the "traffic of the century" when exiting the Fairgrounds parking lot at closing time. I will post about my new Fox on Monday after the show.

Bill,
Please pass along my thanks to John A.
Can't wait to see your "new" Fox.
If you run across any graded small bore steals er,,,I mean deals. A PM could be rewarded with a bottle of your favorite if a deal comes to be.

A gentleman is carrying around a "Fox 20 gauge skeet gun". OK, it has a non selective single trigger with a wide shoe like a Miller. It has ejectors and a medallion in the beavertail forend like a Sterlingworth ejector gun. It has a SW serial number 254,000 series. No skeet markings. It is a nice gun, white action but everything clean and unhurt. I can't remember whether it has SW stamp on the side of the receiver. What is it? What is it worth?

Didn't see any Fox collectors at the show today. Oh well. I'll try to buy one tomorrow.

Jess, shot the L.C. Smith shoot with your new friend John A. yesterday. We didn't talk about the big guns, but I did ask if he still had the sawed off one. He said he did still have it. I may shoot him an offer. I came home from the Baltimore show Foxless except one I took to sell. When you can't sell an ejector Sterlingworth in three days, it's not a good show. I did see some nice Parkers and Smiths.
