Lynn Bogue Hunt A.H. Fox Catalogues

Post by Researcher »

FWIW, there are two L.B. Hunt Fox catalogues currently up for auction on ebay -- one with the March 1, 1934, price list --

and one with the June 21, 1932, price list that introduces the Fox Special SP-/SPE-Grade --

I've seen that one at least three times. It is really part of a set that has a Savage and a Stevens as well.

I have a copy of the book on Hunt by Shelly and it only lists one work for Savage with a woodchuck sitting on the ground. There are no listings for Fox. Obviously it not complete. The book does list a lot of work for other sporting goods companys. He did some wonderful illistrations.

Somebody got a real buy on that 1934 catalogue on ebay at $69. The last 1934 I noted on ebay went for $228.40.
