What's on your Fox shopping list???
Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
I have nearly enough interest in a H gun to have bid on this one, but forgot to check back in on it during the auction. Wouldn't have gone that high for it anyhow, hopefully someone here caught it.

The LOP was 13" so about 12" to the back of the wood. Choked M/IM which would be nice over decoys.
I'm still good on my NO NEW GUN pledge in 2023. LOL
Sold three Foxes to Fox friends and 4 more "others" at auction.

H is stamped on the frame and bottom of barrels too. 0 weight barrels also a tip off as is the unique style of engraving on the sides.

Lovely that some Gomer Xed out that pesky "BARRELS NOT GUARANTEED-SEE TAG" roll stamp.
Still waiting for someone to come up with the Tag!!

Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
I finally found a two-barrel case for my Gournet engraved Fox. That was on the top of my shopping list.
There are plenty of options if you don't care about the cost, but I wanted an all-leather case and to keep it on the low/reasonable cost side and was willing to make a few compromises. The one I got checked all the boxes as far as what I wanted, and it was new in the box. The one thing is that it will handle Fox barrels up to 32 inches so there is a little extra room inside which also added to the dimensions and weight a little bit, but nothing that is too bad.
It works for me. I just need to glue the leatherette Fox label that Galazan sells on the inside of the lid. Not too bad for $350.00

May I ask what length barrels these 8 gauge cases might accommodate Bill?

Roger, where did you find the case. My 2 barrel 16 gauge custom has 32 and 28 barrels. Was never able to find a proper case for it .ROMAC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 11:08 am I finally found a two-barrel case for my Gournet engraved Fox. That was on the top of my shopping list.

Gosh! It seems like I should own a 20 ga. XE in “shooter” condition to use while pheasant hunting with Daryl.

Stan, the cases that I bought easily accommodate 35" barrels. When I get a few minutes, I'll look at one and measure. I think they come in one barrel and two barrel style. I don't know where they're made.
