SF doubling on me

Post by spyder »

My SuperFox doubled on my first shot in the duck blind last week. I didn’t shoot it after that. Today I went to the clays course and put a target load in the right chamber and a snap cap in the left, and it doubled twice. I need a competent smith for this and was going to reach out to Gunther Pfrommer. If anyone has another suggestion, let me know. Thanks.

Phillip Crenwelge is the best trigger man on shotguns I've ever dealt with. And, his turnaround time is surprisingly fast. He has done for me Fox, Perazzi and a Dickinson. Always perfect.

Per the above I have guns that both Dan May and Gunther have worked on. I am well pleased with both of their work on my guns.

Is this a Double trigger gun? Or a Single Trigger?

On double trigger guns, apart from needing a cleaning, a common issue is a weak sear spring.

Double trigger. I thought about giving the action a good ultrasonic cleaning but also considered the chance of really messing something up taking it apart.
