The proper California quail gun was C.T. Buckman's Parker Bros. 28-gauge A1 Special two-barrel set.

20 Gauge Sterlingworth Skeet & Upland Game Gun and a 20 Ga SPE Skeet & Upland Gun to go with my 12’s & 16’s. I’d love a 12 ga 32” F/F XE or DE but not sure I could swing either from a price perspective. Always looking to add another VR Fox to the stable!!

Well my wish for a heads down 22xxx XE came true, an early Christmas present to myself which I will cherish forever. At this point I am satisfied with my collection of Fox guns. But don't tempt me LOL!!!

Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
A good boy---it depends on who you ask LOL!! Anyhow my two 2023 Fox purchases came from fellow collectors that I consider great longtime friends. I didn't think I would ever be the caretaker of both guns, One is a HE straight grip 32" and the other is the mint XE 22XXX both of which I will cherish and feel very fortunate to have in my collection. Pictures after the duck season closes.

Congratulations! I think XE's are the most attractive of the high-grade Fox guns. There have been some nice ones on the market lately, but I haven't found just the right one yet. I keep looking back to the one Josh L. has listed on GI, if only it still had the straight stock and full chokes it left the factory with... I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your new XE!

I see you put an additional strip of Scotch tape just to be sure. However, both can be easily removed under the right circumstances with very little effort.
But you probably know that.
Craig, your will power is admirable.

Thanks Bill I'm up to day 11 LOL, only 354 days to go. I even looked over the Guyette & Deeter catalog and nothing will break my resolution.

Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
I'm with Craig on this. NO MORE GUNS (until I move some of my sleepers). But seriously, the only Fox related items I want for this year is multiple wins in the Fox/Parker and Fox/Lefever challenges. We have some great new shooters here in Fox Nation. Also looking to make the BoWhoop/BabyWhoop event the best ever. See you all in June to kick it off.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

Craig, you'd better add one day. You have 355 days to go. 2024 = a Leap Year with 366 days.
It's going to be tough and not a big sin if you find that SPECIAL gun that gets you all excited.
New dog, new gun! Ya know.
