Found this nice write-up of Doc Robel, my undergrad advisor and early mentor. Doc had a nice collection of English doubles and first spurred my interest in SxS guns. He authored several articles in DGJ, and his wife shot a 20ga AH Fox.

Re: Dr. Robert J Robel
My long time next door neighbor accepted a position at KSU. If he had his way, the government would confiscate the good Doctor Robel's English doubles. He was a nice guy but a bit suspicious of my pro gun stand. I don't imagine that the two doctors shared their opposing views at University functions.

Re: Dr. Robert J Robel
I doubt Doc Robel would have been shy in espousing his views on guns; he was on the NRA board of Directors.
When I was working for him, Doc was keeping his guns in a big safe in his office at KSU. His office was in a small building away from the main Biology building, where he had his own research lab.
