New SW

Post by Maggiemollie »

Got this about 3mo ago. Dry fired fine took it to field to shoot and couldn't break barrel. Come to find out someone removed the safety mechanism but left one small piece that dislodged and landed in the yoke/rotary bolt jamming and breaking. Had that fixed and a new safety mechanism built (no auto engage) and it shoots well. 28" M/F. Wood was in very good but worn down condition so had that refinished, too. At some point will have barrels rust blued.

I like it. The Sterlingworth doesn't get the credit it deserves. Nice job on the refresh. Shoot it in good health.

Thanks all. I shot it last weekend and it shot as well as the shooter shot. Buying vintage SxS is quickly becoming a financially debilitating disease.
