Welcome. Hope you have many years of shooting and enjoying your new Sterlingworth. According to the serial number chronology published by Lightner Library back in 1976, your gun would be of 1921 vintage. A couple of years ago Savage sent the Fox records to the McCracken Library at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and they can provide a letter on the guns original production --

The Sterlingworth being a made-for-stock very "standardized" gun the production cards are rather bleak and only you can decide if the limited info on the card may be worth it to you. Sample Sterlingworth card from my files --

the Sterlingworths were categorized by names for the available barrel lengths -- Trap (32-inch), Standard (30-inch), Field (28-inch) and Brush (26-inch).

shot the gun ...a round of sporting clays. love at first trigger pull. fits me well and aims wonderfully. not bad for 100 years old.
