How do you know who to buy from?
How do you know who to buy from?
Basically curious if there are retail/dealer sources that are as reasonable as possible to trust on the price and quality? I have been at the "gun collecting" loosely speaking for a few decades now. After those few decades of doing I still find that there is much more to learn. I have been burned on GI and GB more than a few times and find it overwhelming to try and intelligently filter out who's who. Any insight is appreciated.

I will be happy to give reports on Alligoods, Dismal River Armory, Jaquas, and Steve Barnett if anyone wants to PM me.

Your ONLY protection is education on your part. Period. And a clear acknowledgement going into a deal as to the terms that you are buying on. ie: inspection period, return policy, payment, etc...
Just because you buy from a "big name" dealer and you pay a premium does not mean you are getting a better gun. And just because you buy from a small dealer/seller at a fair price does not mean you are getting burned. Anyone can potentially screw you, even unknowingly. And good guns are everywhere.
