Re: Fox transformation
Yep, Jim Carmichael knew what he was talking about. Thanks for reminding us Stan (but we all knew that didn't we?)
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.
Re: Fox transformation
Thanks guys for the nice comments on this Fox. It’s currently back at the engraver for final polish and French gray finish. I am hearing the reimport process is taking a long time currently.
Probably won’t have it back in time for quail hunting this year but I would rather have it right than right now.
I hope to post some pictures shortly when it heads back to Chris for the bluing, and wood installation.
I need to see if I can fly to Canada and hand carry back. I am checking on all of the requirements to do this. I would love to have it by my 65th birthday in March.

Re: Fox transformation
Thanks for a lot of positive responses. I got word today the Polish and French gray has been completed and the gun is on its way back to Chris for final fitting and checkering. I will post some updated pictures once I get them.

Re: Fox transformation
VATURKEY I agree the engraver captured the Mearns quail perfectly, as well as the covey flush.
Here is a Mearns Rooster I took this past week with my new pup for comparison.

Re: Fox transformation
Almost there. Still needs to be test fired, and go to the engraver for a final touch. Then re-imported. This turned out better than I could have imagined. I’m really looking forward to taking I out for some dove and pigeons right away, then out for quail this Fall.
