Re: Auction Find
Nice find!! We generally consider that "linen finish cover" catalog the 1936 and that 1935 price list should be in the "leatherette cover" catalog.

So your opinion this is a 36 catalog with a 35 price list. Hard for me to determine the difference between Aqua and Blue covers without a comparison.Researcher wrote:Nice find!! Re: Auction Find
Probably the only important difference on the inside of these catalogs is that the 1936 shows the option of a ventilated rib for the SPE-Grade Skeet & Upland Game Gun. On the February 10, 1936, Retail Prices, they list the SPR-Grade which had a vent rib --
The only piece of Savage-Fox paper to surface that pictures the SPR-Grade is the March 5, 1936, Wholesale Price List --
All this to show how confusing this matching dated price lists to undated catalogs can be. No Retail Prices or Wholesale Price List gives the option of a ventilated rib for the SP-or SPE-Grade.
