Beter Southern SxS Pics and Swell New Cap
Beter Southern SxS Pics and Swell New Cap
Attached are some better pics of our display at the Southern SxS and one of our latest design new cap, a combo blaze orange & camo motif. I like it because for upland hunting you are visible with the blaze crown and for duck, turkey & etc. you can just pull a dark colored watch cap down over the crown and become totally invisible. Nice pictures Kevin. Is the top gun on your display rack the Letterman stock?

Yes Jeff, that's it - it was quite the conversation piece among the non-Birdseye maple fans! KevinJeff S wrote:Nice pictures Kevin. Is the top gun on your display rack the Letterman stock?

Great job Kevin, thanks for the effort. Can't see what you have on disply but I bet there are a couple of long legged smallbores.

No Daryl; per my original post, the "A Grades on Stilts" (the Dana Tauber AE 20 ga. 32" custom stocked and the ephemeral "Amish Gun" (non-ejector 32" straight grip screamer) were not displayed this event; showing them both in one rack per event has caused Darvon abuse and excess Norvasc toxicity in the past. I plan on having them both at Hausmann's, thinking about timed matinees on the display rack so as to avoid the aforementioned visual & emotional overload. They both need to be shot more and worthy candidates will be stringently vetted. Be ready! KevinDarylC wrote:Great job Kevin, thanks for the effort. I'll do my best to be in tip-top shape. Ankle is progressing nicely.

Kevin and his brother had a very nice display on hand at The Southern. Kevin, did you have enough cigars for the weekend??
Re: Beter Southern SxS Pics and Swell New Cap
Thanks MIke; I did indeed have an adequate cigar stock for the duration of the event. I learned years ago to prepare ahead of time for these outings; nothing is a bigger bummer than running out of the favorites and having to scrounge around for a quality smoke, only to wind up having to settle for what smell and taste like burning Snickers bars (e.g., the "Fruity Cheroot"). I'm told they now actually have small cigars in 5-packs that come in different flavors!Mike of the Mountain wrote:Kevin and his brother had a very nice display on hand at The Southern.
