A limit of grouse

Post by grouse_fan »

I was able to take a limit of grouse with only 2 days left in the Pa season. I flushed 10 total in about 3 hours of hunting. I took one with the 20 gauge Fox and one with my A400 Beretta.

That is great, Grouse Fan, especially with a good looking Black Lab. Jim

grouse_fan,
Thats a great picture, and what a good looking dog. My buddy just told me the best dog he ever hunted over in Iowa for pheasants was a lab(he is a brittany guy) the guy who had the lab would put the lab a couple of rows in on a cornfield and he would stay even with the guys walking just outside the cornfield and they got more shots and closer shots that way. Congratulations again

Yep, two grouse makes, to use a friend's expression, "A Sterling Day". Thanks so much for posting. I hope to meet you this coming year at the NE Side by Side at Hausmann's in June. Susquehanna County, not that far from McKean. Maybe we can have a get-together of Fox grouse fanatics.

Silvers

I have been wanting to make it to the NE side by side for sometime now. Maybe this coming year will be the one. If so, we will have to meet up.

Glassman48,

Thanks
Labs are very versatile hunters, everything from ducks to grouse. Someday I would like to have a setter for grouse, but I will probably always have a lab around.

Vaturkey,
I would like to win the lottery, then I could hunt grouse everyday of the season.

Grouse Fan, I think your picture of "The King" is the best posted on the forum this year!
