Thanks for the invitation. I get really busy during the holidays, but you never know. I might be able to sneak in a hunt sometime. Jeff

My wife and I and our "brittany rescue group" all had dinner last night and I gave my wife her painting:) This was one of our best moments we have ever had together. I will try to post the pictures if I can't get them posted, Jeff S. he will.

The next picture is my wife putting her hands to her face, she told me later she was thinking this was a photo of our brittany, she was a little confused:)

This picture is when I told her Rod painted it:) Rod is sitting to the left of her. My buddy Hap and I had a bet, I said she will not cry, Hap said her dogs are like her kids, so he was betting she might shed a little tear.

This was after she recovered and was thanking Rod. He put a history of the brittany on the back, along with his own bio.

Re: a painting of my bird dog
This last picture was my wife fully recovered and very happy. Sorry about all the photos, my wifes old roomate helped me, she said my cell phone settings are probably the reason I am having so much trouble with photos getting down loaded here. We spent about 3 hours at the restaraunt Rod has been going out west to Iowa area for about 35 years pheasant hunting. All those guys at dinner that night all had a lot to talk about, which restaraunts, motels, hunting areas etc. It was quite a dinner. The prints were not ready yet, so I told all the couple involved that they were all getting a print.

Re: a painting of my bird dog
thanks mills and jeff,
Haps wife texted me last night when she got home and read their 3rd party letter by Johnnie cash to them. She said she started crying all over again. That made my year. I seemed to be able to write better when I pretended it was from Johnnie cash. This whole process would never of worked this well without all the input and help from all those who helped us. It really was a miracle how well he is turning out. I see him figuring things out and getting better which is just so exciting for me. Fred watched him trail a pheasant last week and then he held point until we got there. I think that was the first shot with my new fox 16 gauge that I missed with both barrels:( I was so proud of cash I couldn't hardly shoot or think straight. I made up for it later when I got a double about a half mile from where we plant birds. The owner lets us hunt the back of his farm where some of the birds eventually end up. It was as close to a wild bird that I will see up here I would guess.

Re: a painting of my bird dog
foxnut,
Thanks, my wife never shed a tear at our wedding, my granddaughter walked up to my father and stepmother with a box of kleenex just before our wedding ceremony started and they each took a kleenex. Then she turned to walk away, and went back to my dad again and gave him another tissue, everyone got a kick out of that. Then she walked up to me and came back 3 times for more tissues, then she went down to the first row where all my family was seated and handed tissues out to all of them. My hunting friend Hap said these are like her kids, I said I don't think she will cry when she gets the painting, she never cried at our wedding, Hap immediately said well if she cries that will mean the dogs mean WAY more to her than marrying you:)
He likes messing with me like that, when she started crying, I just looked at Hap who was taking the pictures and started shaking my head. I later told him that he won the bet. I just noticed I posted the same picture twice, I don't think I am going to try to change that. Hap really did a good job taking those pictures. The best part was all the stories about hunting out west, and around here, I just sat and listened and learned even more. Some of the great bird dog guys in our area were comparing notes and my wife and I were fortunate enough to get their help with our brittany. (still waiting for you to stop by and say hello:) )
