Re: What's on your Fox Wish/Christmas list for the new year?
Interesting it's always nice to know what others are looking for. The funny thing is that they rarely seem to be available when your looking for a specific gun. I never would have ever put a Elsie long range eagle grade on my wish list but one showed up at Hausmann's and i had to buy it this year. I didn't have Ithaca super 10ga grade 3 on my wish list but I won one at auction. I have always wanted a straight grip HE but a good one has never become available. It seems the more I want the harder it becomes to satisfy my desire.

Ansley lost the A.H. Fox Gun Co. three years before the .410-bore was introduced in the U.S.

I'm still hoping 31736 a HE C with duck engraving will find its way to my gun room. Second is a late B 20ga 26" in original condition
These are very low probability wishes but hey ya never know!!!!
Mike McIntosh Fox book has a listing derived from Roe Clark data of 16 and 20 gauge graded Fox's. Shows 177 for the B/BE 20, all made in Philly. Add another 10% maybe for missing cards, so there should be around 200 B/BE 20's out there, mostly late style would be my guess. Subtract about 10 - 20 early style B's, that would leave maybe around 180 late style B/BE 20's. So maybe around 50 - 60 late style B/BE's with 26 inch barrels?
And you're right: "very low probability wishes but hey ya never know!!!!"
Probably easier than getting that HE C SN 31736.
By the way, what chokes are you looking for in your late B 20 gauge with 26 inch barrels?

Bill: As long as the gun has some choke i'm good, if it is tightly choked RST spreaders are wonderful.
Actually I don't own a A grade Fox so if a really nice A 20/26 came along for a not in the stratosphere price I would jump on it.

Craig,
Does the B 20 with 26" barrels need to have ejectors?... or not?
BTW, it's -1f here today and its freakin November.

I'm always looking for nice straight grip Foxes. I also favor Syracuse Lefevers and I'm hoping a straight grip will find its way to me; they' seem to be even more scarce than Fox straights.

A good bottle of scotch sounds good.

My wish is alittle more simple. A 30” A grade or Sterlingworth 12 ga.

A good C grade remains at the top of my Fox wish list. Would love the Lynn Bogue Hunt catalog and another 20 gauge Sterlingworth. It's been a good year for gun buying but not on the Fox end unfortunately. Hopefully 2019 will be better

Some dude named HOOT shot Santa so I do not expect a visit. But my wish list is short.... a nice 30" 16 gauge CE grade with m/xf chokes for my Kansas hunts would be SWEET! ...if this would be a lottery or a dream, please make it a two barrel set with 28" cyl/imp mod for my grouse hunts in the U.P. Love them walking woodcock looking birdies!! OH.. I do believe in Santa, and hope a dang deer hunter does not kill any of his propeltion teem! . (-: SXS Ohio
