Since Jolly has got us into hammer guns here is one of my two hammer guns. This one from a very short lived company.

This is their higher quality gun with Edward George Parry's patented rear-acting under-bolt in addition to the cross-bolt.

Great looking gun Dave. Does it have nitro steel barrels or Damascus. From your picture, looks like the old girl has steel barrels.

Thanks for the pictures. Very nice gun.

The barrels are Laminated Steel, kind of a Herringbone pattern. In their high quality gun the lowest grade had Twist barrels, the mid-grade Laminated and the higher grade Damascus. Then there were higher grades made to order.

The lower quality gun with just the Greener cross-bolt was offered with Twist or Damascus barrels. From the 1892 SD&G catalog --
