Thought some of you would be interested in this....I was checking out the selected highlights for this October's auction and saw a familiar looking Fox. Described as "Superb Upgraded A.H. Fox D-Special 12ga (Ed Schultz) ". I checked my old catalogs and there she is in Amoskeag Auction January 14, 2006, sale #51, item #60. Est $10000 - $15000. Sold for $10000 plus 15% BP. Nice dimensions, and probably a very good buy at that price. It has stuck in my mind as a gun that should have been in the AH Fox book. Has anyone seen a special similiar to this one? I have not seen another with the bird inlays like this.
It will be interesting to see what the new estimates will be and what it goes for at Julia's. Any guesses?
