There were two guns up for auction at the same time with that serial number. One looked to me like a real 2nd generation FE-Grade with a rebated and scalloped frame --

The other gun was advertised as an FE-HE-Grade and just don't look "right" to these old eyes --

You'll have to search for the threads. All I did was save out these pictures. Neither one is a gun I'm ever going to own.

If somebody is messing with original serial #s they could be spending some time getting poked in the pokey. Not cool AT ALL.

Where were these auctioned at?

The top pictured gun had a full coat of rust and looked like a gun brought out of a basement yesterday morning after sixty years of storage. It was extremely original looking and I would love to have owned it. I don't remember that it was buillt on a number 0 frame and barrels although it could have been and I probably wouldn't have noticed.
