The cheek checker panel borders on the pic posted by the OP are too narrow to be typical factory work.
Further to Philip's post, here's a pic supplied by my friend Craig Libhart of Susquehanna Stockworks who's done a number of Foxes for me and knows how to get that "Foxy look" that often eludes other stock men. This broken one came off a Fox small bore that he restocked for a client. Original checkering matched with 22 LPI on the cheeks and on the wrist. Note also the proper wide border on the cheek panel. frank
PS: I assume that white stuff is epoxy used to put the stock back together and then used for the duplicator.

High grade guns of other makes often had the grip and forearm checkering at 26 or 28 lpi and the decorative panels finer like 30 or 32 lpi. Remington DEO-Grade --

Doesn't seem to have been the practice at A.H. Fox Gun Co. even for FE-Grades
Francotte in particular did some really interesting things in using different checkering LPI in various places. I've heard that the stock cheeks could be up to (or down to) 32 LPI. Course in the cheek area it was all cosmetic.
