Up-date....Early Fox AE-16 set 300011

[SXS ohio]

I am very unhappy that this gun had to be returned to WLM....The 26" 2nd set of barrels arrived a week after the gun. The shipper who packed it did not know it was a two barrel set. When they arrived I found them to have a loose bottom rib just forward of the for end loop. A quick call to Brad Batchelder and repair estimate was established. Now a call to WLM who did not know the gun barrels were defective said....This is a consignment and the seller would not want to pay for the repair as they had already discounted the gun when I bought it. The did give me 500.00 off the asking price. They will have it repaired and relist it at a higher price to cover the repairs and keep the seller happy....I fully understand! If I was flush with mad money at this time I would have worked it harder for a better outcome or just ate it. This is a rare gun indeed...but it had been restocked and would need some work there too. I feared the repairs and up-dates would run in the thousands. So I returned it for full refund less ship fee. I am sad about returning it but as they say....there are lots of other guns that may work better for my needs. The little Fox SW with 30" barrels has arrived since this all took place and its a keeper...I will start a thread about it. Thanks all...... SXS Ohio...

That's a shame. I owned 300033 at one time and it was a delightful little bird gun.
